The French Wine Scholar Programme provides a comprehensive and in-depth study of all the major wine regions of France. Created by the French Wine Society and endorsed by the French Ministry of Agriculture this programme is designed for those who just wish to increase their understanding of French Wine or for candidates studying for the highest level of wine qualifications.
The course is held over 3 consecutive days with 20 hours of instruction and a 1 hour exam.
The exam consists of 100 multiple choice questions covering all French wine regions. The pass mark is 75%.
Successful candidates who pass the exam will earn the French Wine Scholar (FWS) post nominal.
The course is divided into 9 classes plus the exam. The regions covered in the programme:

South of France
